What PG MBA / PGP means here
When applicants say “IIM MBA,” they usually mean the flagship two-year residential post-graduate programme. Institutes brand it as MBA, PGP, or a close equivalent. The product family shares a CAT-linked admissions spine for domestic candidates, then diverges hard on fees, sector mix, batch size, and city flexibility.
Do not paste an executive MBAEx or specialised joint-degree fee into a two-year MBA spreadsheet. Campus reviews call out those naming traps when they create real confusion (Calcutta is a frequent example).
Before you compare two “MBA” offers, confirm the programme code on each fee notice and offer letter. A specialised track can share a brand name and still carry different fees, a different placement pool, and a different career services queue. Rank campuses on the flagship programme you would actually join for two years, then decide whether any specialised variant earns a separate row in the sheet.
How admissions usually work
Most domestic seats: write CAT, clear institute shortlists, sit WAT/PI (standalone or via CAP), then receive offers or waitlists. Composites differ by campus. Process map: CAT pathway and how to get into an IIM.
Build the calendar as three blocks: CAT and sectional floors, institute or CAP interview windows, then offer and waitlist deadlines. Reusing one campus’s CAT weight on another invents false call odds. After results, open each target PDF before you forecast conversion; after offers, open each fee circular before you pay a deposit.
Where to go next
Pick CAT pathway if you are still mapping admissions; pick fees/ROI or placement reading if money math is the blocker; pick the compare tool once two to four campuses already clear your filters.

Campuses by editorial score
Sorted by iimHQ overall score (not NIRF). Scores are Anchal’s judgments on the six-dimension methodology and cannot be bought.
Use this list to open three to five reviews that already match your budget and the kind of job you want. A top editorial score does not override a city you refuse or a loan EMI you cannot manage. Drop campuses that fail hard filters first; then compare the rest with clear placement definitions and the compare tool.

Frequently asked questions
Is PGP the same as MBA at IIMs?
Functionally, flagship two-year post-graduate programmes are the MBA-equivalent product most applicants mean. Naming varies by campus (MBA, PGP, and related branding). Always confirm the exact programme name on the institute site and on your offer letter.
Are executive and one-year formats covered here?
Not as primary products yet. iimHQ focuses on flagship two-year programmes and IPM pathways first. Executive and specialised lines appear in reviews only when they create fee or naming confusion with the flagship.
How should I compare two PGP offers?
Align fee definitions (what is inside the sticker), placement definitions (MEP vs CTC vs fixed), role fit, and location constraints. Use the compare tool for a first pass, then read both reviews and the latest PDFs before you pay.
